Michelle's Story

Iā€™ve spent years testing elite athletes in exercise physiology labs, training everyone from professional athletes to IT professors, speaking frequently at health & performance events, and coaching people both in person and remotely. At the same time, Iā€™ve fallen in love with hiking mountains and running trails.

My new endeavor, Reframe Performance, will bring all of these pieces together to help others build momentum towards running and hiking further, while avoiding the aches and pains that take them away from what they love to do.

Michelle's Peak Performance

Running: Boston Marathon Qualifier (2022), Trapp Lodge Mountain Marathon (2022, 2023), Cayuga Trails 50 Miler Trail Race Top 5 Female (2023), TARC Fall Classic 50 KM Trail Race 1st Place Female and 2nd Overall (2023), Swiss Alps 100 km 9th Place Female (2024)

Favorite Hikes:Ā South Kaibab Trail at Grand Canyon, Phipps Arch Trail at Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, El Capitan from Yosemite Valley at Yosemite National Park

RP Physical Therapist & Coach

Dr. Tim Richardt, DPT, CSCS

A lifelong runner, Tim competed collegiately (800m/1500m) at Penn State prior to moving to Denver, Colorado to pursue his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2012 and Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach. Although gifted with above average endurance and footspeed, Tim's early running career was always plagued by injuries. It was by obsessing over anatomy, training, and biomechanics that Tim was led to a career in injury management and human performance. Making his way back from 3 hip surgeries, Tim went on to compete in sub-elite track and field with Greater Boston Track Club, ending his tenure there in 2020. Nowadays, Tim enjoys backcountry skiing, climbing, running up mountains (for fun), and spending time with his Aussie, Molly.

Tim's Peak Performance

Running: HS State Champion, 4 x 400 m;
800m PR 1:52.6

Favorite Hike: Ascent of Long's Peak (14,259') via Keyhole Route, 2:11 (Colorado)
Favorite Activity:Ā Indoor and Outdoor Climbing.Ā

"Michelle understands that everyoneā€™s fitness journey is different. Iā€™m in my 50s, and am passionate about hiking. Our training sessions are highly collaborative. She works with me to overcome chronic pain issues, while increasing mobility and building strength. In the past few years, Iā€™ve been able to hike higher, further, and faster than Iā€™d previously thought possible. I canā€™t wait to plan my next trip!"

Why We Do It.

Running and hiking provide us both hardship to overcome and mindfulness in nature. Putting ourselves through hardship allows us to put other things in life into perspective, it allows us to learn about ourselves through challenge, and showĀ us what we're capable of achieving. Pursing adventure in nature also provides a sense of beauty and awe.

Here, we are marryingĀ our love for the outdoors and coaching to support others in their pursuit of discovering what is possible.
